At the Operators Summit we had a discussion about
getting an Operators IRC meeting together. An
opportunity for the ops to come together and have a
real time conversation. We were also thinking about
having a "guest" star (Michael I'm looking at you) so
we can talk about specific things like...Nova.

I'm opening this up to the group, there were some
really positive feedback at the Summit so how about
here?
It sounds nice. But 'meeting' with fixed time is kinda
problematic (I live in UTC+2, many guys live in -6/-8/-11)
- so I think it should be or 'few meetings for different
timezones' (2-3 big slices) or just regular irc where
everyone is appears sometime.

I guess maybe i should have started with this, is there
an #openstack-operators channel? I just joined it and it
seems @boris-42 is there. I don't thin think this is
official, so maybe move over to #openstack-ops?

Maybe start out with just a channel dedicated to us
then attempt to have the meetups at two different times?
One for the North American crowd and one for groups that
are effected like George?

I really think that ops channel is good idea. About half of the
questions in devel-channels is actually related to ops jobs and
separate channel will help separate dev from ops.

After enough guys gathered, meeting can happens. And do not forget
about public logs.
