Accessing metadata via IPv6 isn't supported (yet). You can either add
an IPv4 subnet if you need this or use the config drive instead.

There is another open bug regarding cirros showing v6 information on
startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/cirros/+bug/1459042 and I suppose
Scott will happily accept patches for this.
