1. In review and merged this past week:

We merged in draft copies of the user guide and the configuration reference this past week. They're both unpublished but please review ongoing patches. Lots of good bug fixes from new contributors too, thanks to Gauvain Pocentek, Sean Roberts, Lakhinder Walia, Selvakumar Arumugam, Colin McNamara, and Erwan Gallen! Woo.

2. High priority doc work:

Refactoring to make it easier to find your way around seems to be the theme lately. We also need to help newcomers find good work to do. Shaun McCance started this week, contracting for Cisco, and Steve Gordon from RedHat is ramping up a team as well. I think it's a high priority to make sure everyone is familiar with the goals in the restructure blueprint [1] and can find a good place to dig in.

3. Doc work going on that I know of:

The Hardening Guide book sprint starts next week. Go go go writers! Let us know how you're doing and please do take pictures.

Emilien Macchi and Nick Chase are meeting weekly about progress on the High Availability guide.

4. New incoming doc requests:

Sean Roberts and Colin McNamara are working with user groups and want to propose a blueprint for discussion about integration points for training and the manuals. I'll let them give more ideas but wanted to point to that as a new idea.

5. Doc tools updates:

DocImpact is now fully functional and I wake up to new bugs logged or updated each morning, thanks to everyone who made that possible. It's really fantastic.

Zhongyue Luo continues to work on getting sample conf files created for all the projects. So far he has glance, nova, quantu, and cinder covered. Swift would have to use oslo.config to get option extraction. For keystone he'll fix the generator slightly to look at their conf objects. Steven Deaton is working with him and we hope to get the table generation working for all the projects that use oslo.config.

6. Other doc news:
I think the Monday office hours are going to be really useful. We'll keep doing those weekly and I've added them ongoing to the OpenStack calendar.
