We can always backport. I'm fine with deciding on a time and go for it...

with using reno now, we should also tag at the point we branch - see
https://review.openstack.org/446737 .

I think we can use the releases repo for tagging and branching. But
that's something to figure out, perhaps you want to discuss with Doug
Hellmann,
