We've completed day three in Barcelona, and the end is sight! We had four sessions yesterday, here's the wrap up for the Social Things session:

==Discussion==

* Do speciality teams work? Stats indicate that contributions to openstack-manuals have remained steady, but conversations on ML & docs meetings have massively dropped off. Partly because of contributor guide. Partly because convos happen in speciality team silos. 
* Contributor Guide updates:
  - Document use of example URLs in docs - see https://bugs.launchpad.net/openstack-manuals/+bug/1611176
  - In the quickstart section, add a high level process flow diagram and description for contributing content
  - Mention to consolidate minor changes in one patch set.
  - API section needs one update, see API work session
  - Add guidance about contributing to Infra manual
  - Setting requirements: Contributor docs use oslosphinx, user-facing docs use openstackdocstheme. Consider setting up some requirements
* Core team reviews: consider having a looser merge policy, try to reduce nitpicking, or a special 'we'll merge everything' event.

==Deliverables==

* Lana to email about changing meeting time to APAC/Euro tz (options above)
* Limit speciality team meetings to once per month
* Ditch weekly speciality team reports in newsletter
* Lana to add updates about specialty team and meetings based on the outcomes.
* Lana to ask on the user-committee mailing list if docs questions will be added back to the user survey.
* Consider training core team to merge patches with less rigour?
