We use the Keystone v2.0 API in our installation guides (for example http://docs.openstack.org/juno/install-guide/install/apt/content/keystone-services.html). According to the developer documentation of the Keystone project (http://docs.openstack.org/developer/keystone/http-api.html) v3 should be used instead of v2.0. Why do we use v2.0 at the moment? Because of some nice features in v3 I would prefer to use v3 in the installation guides.
