Probably something is missing from the log as there are almost 30 
seconds between the unexpected vif-plugged event and the termination of 
the instance. Could you turn on the debug logging and reproduce the 
issue? In general unexpected vif events just logged and then ignored so 
it should not cause any issue directly.
