Hi Thomas,

Yes, we have been exploring free software alternatives like Jitsi. We are actually using Jitsi for our upcoming PTG for almost half of the project teams. Researching the best solution that has the most accessibility for the global community is an ongoing initiative and we are trying to identify and implement the tools that make sense for the different use cases based on our experience. As we host more community meetings and continue our search of other tools (including some test runs), the tool may change, but for now we are planning to move forward with Zoom so that we can stream to YouTube and record for community members in different time zones.

We will continue to keep the mailing list updated if we switch tools / move in a different direction. Appreciate your patience as we continue to navigate virtual meetings and events.

Cheers,
Allison
