a question about ironic booting from volume

Greetings Guo,

The intended design is that by some means, the baremetal node is able
to reach the endpoints offered by the storage node. As such, custom
security groups, firewall ACLs, and routing would be required to
permit iSCSI connectivity to the storage node(s). Since these are
deployment specific settings, you would have to put those settings in
place to match your environment.

There is a question: when booting from volume, the baremetal node should be reachable to the storage node, but when deploy done, the baremetal's network completely belong to the vpc. How could the baremetal node booting from volume??
