<div dir="ltr"><div style>Let me explain my position on that matter.<br></div><div style><br></div><div style>Savanna is an OpenStack service dedicated to provisioning Hadoop clusters. Taking into account Amazon Cloud Formation approach, it makes sense to expose Savanna as one of Heat resources. Just like Amazon exposes its services as CF resources.</div>
<div><br></div><div>We could also use Heat inside Savanna to perform the actual provisioning. But the thing is that the provisioning operations Savanna does right now are rather trivial. Using Heat will make it more complex without adding significant value. Certainly this might change in the future, but we do not consider to use Heat in the current phase.</div>
<div><br></div><div style>Sure we can discuss this during Savanna presentation which will take place in Unconference room on Monday at 11:50.</div><div style><br></div><div style>Dmitry</div><br><br><div class="gmail_quote">

<br><br>Absolutely. The main difference is that Savanna is the Hadoop oriented service.<br>
It aims to provide unified user-friendly API that will allow users to deploy Hadoop clusters fastly and without additional configurations for cluster provisioning.<br>
