Emily,

Is this mentoring program in any way related to Outreachy[1] or is that a different program altogether?

Your email says, "people to the guidelines (here<https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ZJz0oX_V944o84xe-l67zvy2kf1RyCzpudU2fTlDOA> and here<https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ZJz0oX_V944o84xe-l67zvy2kf1RyCzpudU2fTlDOA/edit>) and". Both of those appear to be links to the same document.

Thanks,

-amrith

Hi,
The lightweight mentoring program sponsored by the Women of OpenStack has really taken off, and we have about 35 mentees looking for technical help that we don't have mentors for. We're asking for help from the PTLs to announce the mentoring program in team meetings then direct people to the guidelines (here<https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ZJz0oX_V944o84xe-l67zvy2kf1RyCzpudU2fTlDOA> and here<https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ZJz0oX_V944o84xe-l67zvy2kf1RyCzpudU2fTlDOA/edit>) and signup form<https://openstackfoundation.formstack.com/forms/mentoring> if they're interested.

Mentors should be regular contributors to a project, with an interest in helping new people and about 4 hours a month for mentoring. They do not have to be women; the program is just sponsored by WoO, we welcome all mentees and mentors.

These are the projects/areas where we especially need mentors:

     *   Cinder
     *   Containers
     *   Documentation
     *   Glance
     *   Keystone
     *   Murano
     *   Neutron
     *   Nova
     *   Ops
     *   Searchlight
     *   Telemetry
     *   TripleO
     *   Trove
If you have any questions you can contact me, or ask on openstack-women where the mentoring committee hangs out.
Thanks!
