+1 - the patches look in good shape, and I think this is another case where
the patch to master was pending for a while due to lack of reviews, and
missed the cut for mitaka by a small margin.

Given that we didn't advertise a feature freeze/RC window, that vendor
integration like this is likely to be important to our users, and that it's
disabled by default, I think this is a justifiable exception.
