[openstack-dev] [fuel] Fuel 8.0 is released

No, we have no plans for CentOS 7.x on controllers in Fuel 9.0/Mitaka,
and our plans for Newton are still under discussion.

I strongly suspect that life cycle management related features will
consume most of Fuel team's attention, we've found that problems with
the numerous LCM use cases cause a lot more pain to operators than the
limited choice of base operating system distributions.

Still, if you or someone else is willing to dedicate some time to adding
support for CentOS 7.x based controllers to Fuel, we would gladly
welcome it. Mind that it's not going to be easy, see the amount of work
that went into adding Ubuntu 12.04 support in Fuel 4.0 and later
updating that to Ubuntu 14.04 in Fuel 6.1.
