Looks like it is:

ubuntu at jr-xeni1:~$ apt-cache policy python3
python3:
  Installed: 3.5.1-1
  Candidate: 3.5.1-1
  Version table:

        500 http://nova.clouds.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/main
amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

On Wily the default still is 3.4.3.
