That's a correct example.

Yes. Catalog may have several packages for MySQL implementations:
MySQL Galera, single node, Trove-based. All of them can return
database connection string which will be used by wordpress.

It should be possible if application can run behind a load balancer
and there is an LBaaS resource in Heat.

> or publish a DNS entry via Designate ?
Should be possible, given the underlying infrastructure and catalog
provides needed resources. As Murano uses Heat under the hood,
whatever is possible in Heat will be possible in Murano. Once
Designate resource is available in Heat, application developers can
use it.
