Hi all, The Google Summer of Code program has been around since 2005, and as an org OpenStack has applied a few of the past years without getting accepted due to needing more detail in the projects and dedicated mentors. I'd like to see if we as a project want to try again this year to put in project ideas on our wiki and put enough detail into them to get accepted. I'd prefer not to serve as admin but am sending this email to recruit an admin as well as developer mentors who want to write detailed project descriptions. Stefano and I discussed this on IRC today and felt a call to the community was the best next step as both of us are otherwise occupied. If you're interested, let Stef and me know, and read as much as you can on the GSoC website to prepare. http://www.google-melange.com/document/show/gsoc_program/google/gsoc2014/help_page I highly encourage our community to participate and plan accordingly. We still have past idea pages [1] [2] and an application template[3] so you wouldn't have to start with a blank slate.
