Hi,
The commit https://github.com/openstack/nova/commit/c4bf32c03283cbedade9ab8ca99e5b13b9b86ccb added a warning that the ESX driver is not tested. My understanding is that there are a number of people using the ESX driver so it should not be deprecated. In order to get the warning removed we will need to have CI on the driver. As far as I know there is no official decision to deprecate it.
Thanks
Gary

Subject: [openstack-dev] [OpenStack][Nova][VCDriver] VMWare VCDriver problems

Greetings,

I was now doing some integration with VMWare VCDriver and have some questions during the integration work.

1) In Hong Kong Summit, it was mentioned that ESXDriver will be dropped, so do we have any plan when to drop this driver?
2) There are many good features in VMWare was not supportted by VCDriver, such as live migration, cold migration and resize within one vSphere cluster, also we cannot get individual ESX Server details via VCDriver.

Do we have some planning to make those features worked?

Thanks,

Jay
