I wrote a patch to impl_qpid in oslo to make qpid queues durable to fix bug #1033915 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/oslo/+bug/1033915). The original requester also wants an auto_delete option, which I can add. Rabbit has no such option, but I feel like this is the right thing to do.
