Open Stack

Our blue-print is to show case NFV using OpenStack and Network Service Chain creation using NFVs.

Following are the key details which we want to propose using this Blue-Print:


i)                 Supporting the Vendor Neutral Infrastructure for NFV deployment.

ii)                Modular approach for Service Chain Infrastructure where independent Vendors can write their own Plug-ins for supporting their Network Function VMs.

iii)               DB schema for Network Functions Configuration and support for Versioning and Delta configuration.

iv)               Infrastructure for Configuration Relay from Controller to NFVs

v)                Automatization of NFVs based on Network Traffic Loads.[This is not completely covered in blue print now. We want to add it once we finalize our Design]

It is glad to inform that we are publishing the Blue-Print for Network Function Virtualization using OpenStack and Network Service Chain Implementation.

We had couple of queries when we show cased it in ONS 2013 like guys from Midokura,Redhat etc are enquired about this blue print.

We would like to contribute this for Havana Release.
