[openstack-dev] SmokeStack: where is Xen?

Just as a summary from the call:

We've decided to take this as an opportunity to upgrade the base XenServer version that is running under the Smokestack tests; previously we were running with 5.6 SP2 but now we're going to upgrade to XS 6.1 as well as creating the XS modules needed to use the stackforge/puppet-* modules.

XenServer will be returning to smokestack shortly - but in the meantime if anyone has questions around it, feel free to give me a shout.

Subject: [openstack-dev] SmokeStack: where is Xen?

A quick update on some recent SmokeStack changes:

Yesterday I deployed some new changes to support using/testing the new stackforge/puppet-* modules. This is good news in that SmokeStack will both use and provide test covereage for these modules (with upstream packages). It is now commenting on Gerrit reviews for stackforge/puppet-* modules.

There were a couple casualties in making this change... one of which was XenServer. PostgreSQL is also gone for now as are a couple other odd configurations I had in the old mix (I had like 8 or something). Anyway, until I get time, or someone else jumps in and helps rebuild these I essentially cut over to a single configuration for now. As time permits I'd like to gradually expand this coverage again.

Also, if anyone is interested in helping out with this sort of thing then let me know here or on IRC (dprince).

Dan
