The 1.2 release series has better Python 3 support and unicode handling.
Pecan does not work with 1.1.1.

Chuck Short of Canonical is adding 1.2.3 to Raring and backporting it to
Precise via their cloud archive. I've contacted Dan Prince at RedHat, too,
but haven't heard back yet (I'm assuming he was on vacation last week so I
was going to give him a day or two to catch up before I pinged him again).
