Is this a possibility? I see that there is a wiki entry here: http://wiki.openstack.org/os_api_floating_ip But this only looks like a proposal. What I'd most like to do is specify upon creation of a server that it should auto-assign a floating IP for that server only. (so narrower in scope than the auto_assign_floating_ip config var.
