Open Stack

I am in the process of getting a bug fix approved for a bug found in openstack.common:

The bug is present in both nova and cinder. The above patch is under nova; do I need to submit a separate cinder patch covering the same fix, or does the shared nature of the openstack.common module allow for updates across projects without needing separate project patches?
