Yes, I have also seen errors.

The csv/xls files seem to have slightly different numbers, which worries me that this is leaving the wrong 'public' impression.

Is this baked? I'm seeing inconsistencies and errors. The number of authors in the spreadsheet and in the JSON files varies, for one.
