At the summit last week, Rob Clark and I introduced the OpenStack
Security Group. I wanted to provide a brief introduction on this
mailing list for any interested parties.

Overview:
The OpenStack Security Group will actively work to improve OpenStack
security through improvements to code, architecture, documentation,
etc. The OSSG may hand off vulnerability reports to the VMT. The OSSG
may also assist VMT is assessing vulnerabilities when asked to do so.
The primary focus points for the OSSG are (1) securing the OpenStack
code base and (2) making it easy for people to obtain good security
when they install OpenStack.

Membership:
We are just getting started. If you wear a security hat and would
like to help, then please let me know! We currently have involvement
from some of the key OpenStack contributors including CloudPassage,
Cloudscaling, HP, Nebula, OpenStack TC, Red Hat, Seagate, and Suse.

Other Notes:
- In an effort to keep our discussions open and involve the whole
community, we intend to use openstack-dev for most of our
communications. Look for the [OSSG] tag in the subject line for
security group discussions.

Cheers,
-bryan
