Subject: [Win The Enterprise-wg] Hi from Splunk

I'm not the quiet lurker type most of the time, so I may as well just get this out of the way and say hello. :) David Pitzely invited me to come see what the ISV Interop team is all about, so my first act was to join this list. By way of introduction:

  * Dev Evangelist at Splunk, report into the Chief Strategy Office
  * Background in systems engineering for HP, IBM, Home Depot, mostly Windows and VMware. Heavy on automation and tooling. Wrote a book<http://www.amazon.com/Managing-VMware-Infrastructure-Windows-PowerShell/dp/0982131402/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8> about that some years back.

     * I tried really hard to get the email address "hal at ibm.com<mailto:"hal at ibm.com>" while there, but they wouldn't go for it. :/

  * Been talking about devops on my podcast<http://powershell.org/wp/powerscripting-podcast/> and others<http://www.runasradio.com/default.aspx?showNum=351> for a while now.
  * Interested in OpenStack for well over a year, but not much hands-on experience other than a devstack which I use for integration work.
  * I am probably the senior-most person at Splunk who focuses on OpenStack as an SME, and am involved in discussions with my field, customers, and partners on a somewhat regular basis.
  * I've got a fair bit of experience in perf & functional QA testing with Splunk that may come in handy for interop testing.
I'm ready to learn, so I will now quit typing!
