Open Stack

Hi Everyone,

1.)  Thanks for contributing to the planning etherpad [1] so far!  

2.) Per discussion in today’s meeting [2], it looks like the week of August 1 got +1 or +2 votes from everyone, which is awesome.  Barring any major objections, I’d like to go forward with planning for that week.  I’m currently thinking it looks like we have 3 days worth of discussion fodder, but we can finalize the length and the exact days once we finish collecting topics and verify availability with our hosts.

3.) Thanks to the four companies who stepped up and volunteered to host the meetup.  We need to make a final decision on the venue so we can give our hosts ample time to make arrangements.  We agreed at today’s meeting that the +2/+1/-1/-2 system we used to solicit info about dates seemed to work out pretty well, so we’ll use that again for picking a venue.  Please fill in the “What venues work best…” section of the etherpad ASAP, and we’ll finalize the venue selection at next week’s meeting.

4.)  Last but not least, we also need to collect any final topics folks want to cover so we can firm up the length of the meetup and start setting up a formal agenda.  Please fill out the “What topics would you like to see discussed…" section of the etherpad if you haven’t already, and we’ll end collection at next weeks’ meeting.
