This thread is the ML masticating on Monty's post about how to reorg the OpenStack human and technical organization. I think this has much food for thought for this ML, also and for DefCore's ML:

This reinforces the mark as three sets:

*         Distro mark

* Certified - (DefCore defined 12 areas of maturity and reach) of any OpenStack project

* Foundational - (Powered by - or Layer 1 in the discussion)

It reinforces the mission of DefCore as defining those aspects of any and every OpenStack big tent project as mature through the DefCore analysis process and the Refstack certification process. The other thing this discussion really showcases is how important Refstack will be as interoperability will become crucial for the higher layer projects.
