DefCore Committee,

First, CONGRATULATIONS on the amazing cycle we've just completed! The feedback that I've been getting has been wonderful. Many people are excited about the direction and progress. Some are asking the type of hard questions that help use stay on the right community track.

I'd like to have a planning meeting for the cycle later in the week (5/22), more phone meetings and potentially a longer face-to-face meeting in a few weeks (I'm looking at 6/10 or 6/11).

That said, we've got a lot of work ahead of us in the next cycle.

1. We're targeting THREE core capabilities score cards (Havana, Ice House & Juno) and the Havana one is not yet complete. We'd like to submit the Advisory Havana Core to the board at OSCON.

2. Get Refstack & TCUP on track so that we have a place to post results.

3. Re-Launch the By-laws subcommittee starting from a "simple English" version of the changes that we need. This needs to include a timeline leading up to board approval and then having community vote for the changes.

4. Start a process to address the Board question about other marks (e.g.: API only). This must be connected to the Foundation updates about the "powered" and "compatible" marks.

There are some other items (like revisiting "programs vs projects") that may also need to be addressed but are not as urgent.

That's enough for this email > please let me know if there are dates that work better for you.

Rob
